How Do I Start Affiliate Marketing in Kenya?
You are in Kenya and you want to start affiliate marketing, often without anything to put in and without an audience of your own.
By the end of this guide, you will know how to check an offer after what Kenya's regulators said in September 2026, where the people you want to reach are, and which language to post in. You will leave with the steps to start.
We do guided affiliation, and it is open to people in Kenya, not only to students. Other ways of doing this exist, and they are not wrong for being different.
What starting affiliate marketing takes
An affiliate needs five things: the content, the account, the link, people who see it, and regularity. We go through them in how do I become an affiliate. Below, each step says what Kenya changes.
Steps to start affiliate marketing in Kenya
Step 1. Check the offer before you sign up
What you do: read the program's own page, and check that joining costs nothing.
What Kenya changes: on 12 September 2026, Kenya's Capital Markets Authority named 15 entities offering investment services without a licence, as Pulse Kenya reported. These schemes spread through churches, workplaces and family groups, and promised more for every new investor brought in. The advice was to check any investment platform against the official register before putting anything in.
What the Authority named were investment schemes. The same pattern can still wear the word “affiliate”. The US Federal Trade Commission draws the line for schemes built on bringing people in: what you get depends mostly on how many people you bring in, not on what is sold. When bringing people in replaces selling, stop.
Step 2. Get your own tracked link
What you do: sign up to the program, and get the link that counts what people do on it.
What Kenya changes: nothing here. The program's terms say what is counted and what it brings.
Step 3. Choose where people will see it
What you do: pick the place where you will show what you post.
What Kenya changes: DataReportal's Digital 2026 report for Kenya, published in November 2025, counts 23.4 million internet users, which is 40.5 percent of the population. On Meta's advertising tools, Facebook reaches 17.0 million people in Kenya and Instagram 3.95 million.
So fewer than half of the people in Kenya are online, and Facebook reaches far more of them than Instagram.
Step 4. Choose the language you post in
What you do: decide which language your posts will speak.
What Kenya changes: under the 2010 Constitution, Kiswahili is the national language, and Kiswahili and English are the official languages. The language of the program you join, and of the people you want to reach, is worth checking before you post.
In guided affiliation
In guided affiliation, the content is made for you, captions included. We create an account with you, step by step, and you do not need followers of your own. Our affiliates post on Instagram, for now.
There is nothing to buy and nothing to deposit, at any point. What you receive depends on the clicks counted on your link, and it comes from us.
For one week in October 2026, a quest also gives a small one-off bonus to an affiliate who invites five people who then join our Discord. It does not replace what you receive from the clicks.
The steps, to tick off
- I have checked the offer, and any investment platform, against the official register.
- What it rewards is mainly what people do on my link, not the people I bring in.
- I know where the people I want to reach are.
- I know which language I will post in.
